However, please remember all reserved vessels are only held on the basis of no cancellations are accepted. |
| MEMBERS: | For club members and active students in good standing only. In this category a vessel is prepaid in full a nonrefundable charge and is reserved regardless. This level does not allow cancellations either. Please remember your signed rental agreement and valid credit card security deposit must be current and on file. In all cases payment is due BEFORE you may step aboard. Additional charges, if any, will be billed to you and must be paid within 30 days. |

Curiously, many nonmembers or out-of-town visitors do not realize it is a much better deal to take with them a M.S.C. skipper or instructor, who knows the local waters, and who - by the way - is responsible for the vessel, than sort out the unknowns and be fully responsible for the vessel, its gear and eventual damages to third parties. This assuming they are perfectly familiar with the vessels we offer, for example such as our Olympic Solings. For a very few dollars extra, they are relieved of all kinds of possible problems, especially the substantial security deposit.
While the uncharted sand bars do not present any real danger to the vessel or the people, an unobservant crew could spend not only the entire time of the rental period sitting aground, but even extend it by several hours, thus having to pay for the mistake further. Commercial towing companies charge about $ 10.00/foot of LOA.
